With the start of the 2024 Trans-Am Series presented by Pirelli on the horizon, Nitro Motorsports is continuing to round out its driver lineup. Stepping up to a full season in the Pro/Am TA2 category, Cale Phillips will race under the CP Racing banner with support from Nitro Motorsports. Supported by SNP Inc, Mincey’s Graphics, BoxoUSA, and Monkees, Phillips has his goals set for a new season of competition.
“I am excited to once again be able to work with Nitro Motorsports and build upon the improvements we showed in the few races we did last year,” explained Phillips. “They are a championship-level organization, and having their set-up knowledge and personnel available has been invaluable. Hopefully, we have better luck on our side this season, and I think running Pro/Am this year will allow us to compete for race wins and podium results.”
In a unique situation in which Phillips owns his machinery, Nitro Motorsports will provide car setup and maintenance along with at-track personnel for Cale’s 2024 Trans-Am race schedule. Racing in the Pro/Am division of TA2 will allow Cale to race for a championship without competing in the full national tour.
“Cale is a good driver and is going to benefit from honing his skills in the TA2 Championship this coming season,” added Nitro Motorsports’ Nick Tucker. “We will treat Cale and his race equipment as if it were our own and give him the best chance to be successful. Cale has a great group of teammates to learn from, and they will all push one another to new levels in 2024.”
Phillips will kick off his season at the Sebring International Raceway over the February 22-25 weekend alongside a large contingent of Nitro Motorsports competitors. Aiming to start the season off on the right foot, Phillips has his sights set high.
Cale added, “I want to win, not only for CP Racing but Nitro Motorsports as well. We are ready to get the season started.”
